I'm working on painting old reel-to-reel boxes. I'm trying to decide how to frame/hang them. They all have the reel to reel tapes inside, and I like that aspect. Maybe shadow boxes. I was thinking it would be nice to have them unframed so people can open the boxes and look at the tapes. It's a conundrum.

maybe you could craft a picture hanger out of the magnetic tape?
