History museum // vintage medical equipment // gold panning

The Ouray Historical Museum has a breathtaking array of old medical equipment, including this dental apparatus.

We panned for gold and copper yesterday, too. We hoped to strike it rich, alas we only found 3 flakes of gold and one tiny copper speck. Upon leaving the gold panning place we saw this sign. The Floridians got a real kick out of this, as we can't imagine that we'd be very good at it.

That dental chair looks pretty comfortable to sit in. Anyway, they should have included a dentist mannequin in that museum to make it look more homey.
