the loss of a chicken // dunce

Here, I was visiting a pioneer town in Florida, donning the cap of shame. I post this photo today, because I have truly been a dunce. Last night, I went to bed, forgetting to check the chicken coop. Because I forgot, one of my chickens is missing this morning. There's little evidence to what occurred. The little sign the chick liked to sit on in the coop is on the ground, and that's it. No feathers. No other visible clue as to what might have happened. I am heavy hearted that I was so irresponsible. The chicken paid for it.
