First day of school always brings frayed nerves, lots of supplies to organize and reminiscing about summer (which, technically, was just yesterday). My 7 year old was asked to keep a summer journal to be shared with his new 2nd grade class. It was never his favorite thing to do, and I admit, I let it slide many times. But last night, as I painted this picture on the front of his journal, I realized what a gift it is. We will always be able to look back at summer 2010, and have fond memories and some fun laughs at some of the stories and pictures inside.
